The Kings Head Pub, Galway, Ireland, Irish Pub

The Kings Head is one of the best-known pubs in Galway. It resides in a beautiful historic building that is over 800 years old! You can find some pieces of history in this place like medieval fireplaces and a few original cut-stone walls and windows. If you wondered why the name "Kings Head"? Well, legend has it that in the 17th century this building was gifted to the executioner of King Charles I of England! Very interesting history you definitely want to read more about.

The Kings Head is quiet big with many different areas to hang out. The interesting layout inside makes it feel very cozy still. The pub is very welcoming and has a relaxed atmosphere. It is a great place to grab a pint of Guinness and enjoy some delicious food. They serve the best Irish cuisine. The ingredients are locally-sourced and mostly organic. Their Bistro & Bar Food menu is inspired by what is fresh, local, and in season. There are many delicious dishes worth trying! I tried the best "Galway Hooker Fish & Chips" and it was amazing and the "Guinness Beef Stew" is also a winner.

Every night there is live entertainment at the pub. Perfect for a fun night out in Galway. The Kings Head has a nice diverse drink list. They also have their very own tasty craft beer "The Kings Head Blood Red Ale". It's only fitting to have one while you visit! Haha.

The Kings Head Pub sure is a must-visit while you're in Galway! To read more about Galway check out my previous post.

Until the next departure!
